Lakay Se Lakay is a painting made to celebrate my country. The one I knew and lived in once. The one that natured my innocence and will soon be Ayiti. The land is rich even though the physical illusion of poverty reigns. The population is muffled by bad policies systemic racism and murders. It's a nation of sovereignty and culture despite what they depict to the world. "Liberte ou la mort," said Dessaline and God says, "let my people go."
